Labor Day is more than just a time for barbeques and picnics. It is more than just the unofficial end of summer. The Labor Day holiday is dedicated to workers across the country. The holiday recognizes the contributions that workers make to the United States as a whole. The first U.S. observation of the holiday occurred in 1894.
The Labor Day holiday always falls on the first Monday in September. This year, Labor Day 2022 is Monday, September 5th.
A critical factor in anyone’s ability to do a job well, and to effectively balance hectic daily routines, is the confidence that workplaces are safe, healthy, and secure. Here are some tips to make sure your workplace is the best it can be:
1. Get safety and health training.
2. Understand workers compensation laws.
3. Ask for changes to your workspace if you have medical conditions requiring accommodation.
Have a wonderful Labor Day 2022 weekend! Our office is closed Monday, and will reopen Tuesday morning, September 6, 2022.
